Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins Gets Bike Racks for Ambulances
What's different about ambulances in For Collins? They all have bike racks. After a number of cyclists had medical emergencies or accidents while riding their bicycles, Poudre Valley Hospital equipped all 14 of its ambulances with bike racks.
Some patients didn't want to leave their bike behind because, well, bikes are expensive and too much time was being spent by emergency staff retrieving them.
According to the Coloradoan, the hospital spent about $5,000 to install the racks, or $356 per ambulance. It's just another way to tell you live in Fort Collins.
