Some things are a special treat every now and then. Something so sinful that most resturaunts do not even sell this item.

That's why a few nights ago, when I was out to dinner with my family, I saw onion rings and, per usual, I decided to YOLO the situation.

So the question is, where in Northern Colorado can I find the best onion rings? Because calories count and the doctor has concerns about my cholesterol, if I'm gonna sin, I'm gonna sin with the best.

So let's break it down.

Windsor

Let's start in Windsor because this is where I gave in to my desires and ordered the onion rings. Wing Shack off of Main Street has some pretty fabulous onion rings. I prefer smooth rather than crumbly (if that even makes sense), and the folks at Wing Shack have it down.

Add on some wings and a beer from the bar, and your night is set.

Fort Collins

Rally5 Crafted Eats and Bar not only has amazing onion rings but also offers fried pickles, delicious Nashville Hot Chicken, and green chili mac and cheese. Going to Rally5 means saying YOLO again and again and again. It's a problem.

Loveland

Pourhouse Bar and Grill in Loveland has a pretty stacked menu, and when it comes to onion rings, they understand the assignment. Not too greasy, not too crumbly, just perfect. Why not grab an order to enjoy at home? on the couch, in your underwear. Weekend plans locked in.

Greeley

Speaking of YOLO and how I tend to use it far too often. If you do one thing this week, it needs to be visiting The Cow Saloon and Eatery for some of the best onion rings you'll ever eat. Maybe I'm being dramatic because I haven't been everywhere in the world, but as far as Greeley goes, this is the place to go.

YOLO.
