‘Manspreading’ New Addition To Oxford Dictionaries, Among Others

Oxford Dictionaries added new terms to its list of 21st-century slang category yesterday, including "manspreading."

Manspreading, a noun, is "the practice whereby a man, especially one travelling on public transport, adopts a sitting position with his legs wide apart, in such a way as to encroach on an adjacent seat or seats."

Other words that made the list include "rando," a person one does not know, especially one regarded as odd, "Redditor," a registered user of the website Reddit, an online community where users vote on content, "awesomesauce" (extremely good), "hangry" (bad-tempered or irritable as a result of hunger), "barbacoa," beef, lamb, or other meat slowly cooked with seasonings (I'm surprised this wasn't already added), and my personal favorite, "wine o' clock," an appropriate time of day to start drinking wine.
