
UPDATE: Man Arrested for Impersonating Federal Agent in Colorado
UPDATE: Jefferson County Sheriff's Office arrested 50-year-old Michael Nelson for the incident.
A man posing as a federal agent pulled over a woman in Golden on Tuesday and the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office is currently searching for the man. The incident happened Tuesday morning in Golden when a woman was driving her son to school tried passing a car driving erratic in front of her near the I-70 and C-470 interchange.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office confirms that the badge was fake and according to KDVR, can be purchased for around $40 online. The suspect is described as early 40's, about 5'7" to 5'8" tall, strawberry blonde hair, with a goatee, and wearing a gray Adidas athletic shirt with black pants. The suspect's car has been described as a full-size silver pickup truck.
