If you've always wanted to ride in a DeLorean, and if you'll be finding yourself in New York City on Wednesday, October 21, now is your time.

Lyft has partnered with Verizon and Universal to offer free DeLorean rides on Wednesday, which happens to be "Back to the Future" day, in New York City from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. You can request a ride by pressing the "McFly Mode" button on the app.

Free rides last up to 20 minutes and will stay under 88 mph.

If you can't make it to New York City tomorrow for your free DeLorean ride, no worries - this isn't the first (and perhaps not the last?) time a ride share company has run the same promotion. Uber teamed up with General Electric in 2013 to offer DeLorean rides in San Francisco.

The DeLoreans are being shipped from all over the country for Back to the Future day, however, Lyft did not specify how many vehicles will be traveling around New York City on Wednesday.

October 21, 2015, is the date in which Marty and Doc travel to in the 1989 sequel.
