Soon, there will be one less place to get green chile in at a Mexican restaurant in Northern Colorado. According to a post on Reddit, the Fort Collins restaurant known in the Choice City for its tasty breakfast burritos will be closing in a matter of weeks.

In 2024, having a cheap option for a breakfast burrito for less than $5 is considered a steal and Lupita's Mexican Restaurant offered just that. Good food at a great price.

Situated right next to City Park at 1720 West Mulberry Street, Lupita's is a great option for food on the go... However, not for long. The post on Reddit states that the Mexican restaurant will be closing in February. Wanting to confirm the news, I called Lupita's Mexican Restaurant on Wednesday morning and spoke with a kind woman who confirmed the closure.

I asked her if Lupita's would be closing and she said it was true. The date she gave me for the closure is February 24, 2023. This means that fans of Lupita's will have a mere six weeks to enjoy the food and cheap breakfast burritos before the Mexican restaurant closes for good.

Lupita's Mexican Restaurant did face its share of struggles during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the pandemic, hours have been scaled back and dining in the restaurant ceased to exist. For those who want to get your last taste of Lupita's Mexican Restaurant, be aware of the limited hours you will be able to order your food.
