New Speeding Cameras Installed in Loveland, Here’s Where
Speeding cameras continue to be installed across Northern Colorado. Speed cameras were installed in six Fort Collins intersections in August of 2024. The state of Colorado will also install speed cameras in construction zones across the state. They will invest $5 million in the cameras.
I live in Fort Collins. I have noticed a drastic difference in driving habits. It appears as though drivers are paying closer attention. They avoid speeding at all costs. Not because of more law enforcement presence.
They do not want to get caught by a speeding camera. Most of us forget where the speed cameras are even located.
Some agree that speed cameras create safer environments. Some, on the other hand, are outraged.
Loveland Speed Cameras
We previously reported that the Loveland Police Department showed an example of speed cameras in action.

They reported 50 speeding infractions in a 30-minute span at one school zone in Loveland. They did not disclose the location.
In case you were wondering, a vehicle was considered speeding if it was going eight miles per hour over the speed limit.
Location of a Speeding Camera in Loveland
A red light camera was installed at W. 1st Street and S. Taft Avenue. The Loveland Police Department says that they have had a warning period.
That warning period is officially over.
They also said that the same area will have a mobile radar that will be monitoring speed. Drivers who are going above the speed limit will be mailed a citation.
