Get ready for a once-in-a-lifetime Loveland experience.

Sweetheart City Racing asked runners to consider an interesting proposition: how would you like to run on Lake Loveland? While the idea brings up a fun challenge for seasoned runners, the organization is trying to highlight a pressing local water challenge: in a press release, they note that:

"The issue that we are highlighting is that Lake Loveland sits blighted for 10 months out of the year, and we all believe we can do better as a community. "

Will you get stuck in the mud or will you be water blasting the mud off your running shoes that evening? There's only one way to tell.

Help Sweetheart City Racing bring awareness to the issue and run through Lake Loveland's sandy bottom by signing up for Fill the Love right here. The race starts at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, March 19.

“We have always wanted to have a mud run, and this was the perfect opportunity to highlight Lake Loveland in a meaningful way," said Shane McWatters, of Sweetheart City Racing in a press release.

The group behind the race is organizing a campaign to make sure that Lake Loveland  gets full year round.
