Larimer County Sheriff’s Office — Website Hacked
Larimer County Sheriff's Office has been hit by a known website hacker ring, or have they and if so where did they come from and how did this happen?
A known group of hackers have initially taken responsibility for hacking the Larimer County Sheriff's Office website. The attack happened in the pre-dawn hours Tuesday. The group, according to the Coloradoan, is known to hack government pages around the world.
The incident was discovered and the website was taken down around 8 a.m. Tuesday. Shortly thereafter the hackers had put the site back up and a message criticizing government(s) for their roles in global financial crises, wars and enforcement of 'unjust laws.'
The website was back to normal by 8:30 a.m. It isn't known how long the site was compromised. An investigation is underway.
