Larimer County Adds 4 New COVID-19 Deaths, 300+ New Cases
Larimer County added 4 new deaths and 328 new COVID-19 cases to its cumulative tally on Wednesday (Jan. 6).
The latest reports from the Larimer County Department of Health show that there have now been 158 COVID-19 related deaths in the county since the beginning of the pandemic.
Of those, 74 deaths occurred in December - making December the deadliest month of the pandemic to date.
As of Wednesday (Jan. 6), 3 deaths have been reported in Larimer County, including a 99-year-old Loveland woman who died on New Years Day and a 98-year-old Fort Collins man who died on Jan. 2.
The 328 newly reported COVID-19 cases brought Larimer's County cumulative total of cases to 15,277 on Wednesday.
The youngest cases are two 3-year-olds, a girl and a boy, both from Loveland; the oldest case is a 90-year-old Berthoud woman.
Larimer County remains a high-risk area with an overall prevalence rate of 365 cases per 100,000 residents for the past two weeks and a positivity rating of 7.6%.
