You might have noticed that your favorite Colorado Kum & Go gas station has converted to a Maverick gas station. This is because Maverick purchased Kum & Go in 2023 and the company announced that they will be merging the brands with Maverick.

This process began at the beginning of the year. More and more stores are rebranding and now we know when all Kum & Go’s will officially leave Colorado.

Kum & Go in Windsor

I went to the Kum & Go station in Windsor often.

I was a sucker for their brisket breakfast burrito—I loved it. Maverick has a version, but it’s just not the same. Pretty much everything else at my favorite gas station is consistent, except for the breakfast burritos.

I used to love Maverick’s breakfast burritos but to be honest, they can be a bit too much sometimes. Kum & Go breakfast burritos were the perfect size.

Maverick’s breakfast burritos are way too big for me now. Plus, I have come to the conclusion that Maverick breakfast burritos do not have as much flavor as Kum & Go breakfast burritos.

I’ve found myself eating breakfast more often at home, which is nice for my budget but not ideal when I need a quick breakfast option.

C-Store Dive announced that all Kum & Go locations in Colorado will officially become Maverick by the end of August 2024.

The rebrand is still being worked on in other states.
