9News believes that a total of 10,000 workers will go on strike across the state of Colorado for a total of two weeks.

Reason for the Colorado Strike

There have been negotiations between the union and King Soopers since October. The union was seeking higher hourly wages and more staff to be hired. The union also said that workers were targeted for wearing union attire.

On the other hand, King Soopers believes that the union is not negotiating in a fair manner.

Employees plan to walk out this Thursday in cities like Boulder, Fort Collins, Longmont, Colorado Springs, and more. As we mentioned earlier, 77 stores will participate in the strike.
