Kersey Small Plane Crash Victims Identified One Day After Accident
The two victims in a small plane crash that occurred Wednesday just south of Kersey have been identified. According to ABC7-Denver, the victims were 79 year old John Burk and 65 year old Richard LaCourse. Burk was a resident of Aurora and LaCourse was from Denver.
Platte Valley Fire Protection District spokeswoman Stephanie Cooke told ABC 7 that the experimental aircraft they were flying crashed into a farm field on Wednesday just east of Weld County Road 53 near Weld County Road 50. The plane broke into pieces upon impact.
