Fans of #22 Joey Logano got a taste of victory Sunday afternoon as he walked away with the victory at the 57th running of the Daytona 500. It was Logano's first victory in what is considered the "Super Bowl" of Nascar, after he finished fifth in qualifying.

The unofficial top five for the Daytona 500 this year was:

#1 - Joey Logano

#2 - Kevin Harvick

#3 - Dale Earnhardt Jr.

#4 - Denny Hamlin

#5 - Jimmy Johnson

The win was not without suspense, as Logano walked away with the victory while under a caution flag after an eight car crash which also took Jeff Gordon out of the running. Gordon had previously announced earlier this month that he would be retiring at the end of the season. Gordon finished his last Daytona 500 in 33rd place which is his worst result in three years.

Nascar hits the road next Sunday to Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Kobalt 400.
