Jason Aldean to Release ‘Night Train’ Album on October 16
Jason Aldean has set a date for his next album, ‘Night Train,’ and the release date is just around the corner! The new disc — which will be Aldean’s fifth studio offering — will hit store shelves and digital retailers on October 16.
The album’s lead single, ‘Take a Little Ride’ has already ignited a fire with country fans. In its first week, the tune sold more digital downloads than any male country artist in history. Now in its fourth week, ‘Take a Little Ride’ is approaching the Top 10 on the country charts. Not surprisingly, the song is Aldean’s highest chart of his career.
“I feel really great about the songs we recorded for this album,” Aldean said in a statement. “There are some surprises on there that might raise a few eyebrows, and there’s also some more traditional stuff, too. I don’t like being put in a box, and I think with every record, we’ve had a lot of variety…’Night Train’ is no different. I got to do a cool uptempo song with Luke (Bryan) and Eric (Church), who’ve both been out with me over the last two years. I love collaborations like that, and I think the fans dig it when artists get together…it keeps it interesting.”
The 15-track album will continue fostering Aldean’s reputation as a country artist who isn’t satisfied with the status quo. As usual, the award-winning singer has tried to think outside of the box while creating his latest studio offering.
“There’s no formula to music,” Aldean notes. “It’s meant to be experimented with. You’re supposed to try things. So I love getting in there with my guys and coming up with sounds that nobody else really uses.”
‘Night Train’ will follow Aldean’s previous record, ‘My Kinda Party,’ an album which was so successful that the country crooner decided to name his 2012 tour after it. Since its release in November 2010, ‘My Kinda Party’ has sold nearly three million copies, but somehow, we think he’ll onto continue to climb with ‘Night Train.’
