Two Colorado Officers Arrested After Alleged Assault of Man in Wheelchair Caught on Video
This past October, an incident took place in Colorado that resulted in two Colorado police officers being arrested for assaulting a disabled person.
The Incident that Got the Police Officers Arrested
The incident took place on Friday, October 17, 2025, after the victim provided video footage of himself guiding his dog inside his apartment.

The victim, who is bound to a wheelchair due to having no use of his legs or lower body, was shown on the footage first exiting the apartment in which he lives with his dog, then re-entering his home to put his dog away before the violence was caught on film.
After bringing his dog back inside his home, the footage is said to have recorded a woman, who was later identified as Deputy Sheriff Sergeant Carla Gentempo, striking him in the face with a closed fist, causing him to fall out of his wheelchair and hit his head on the ground.
The other alleged perpetrator of the assault, Sheriff Deputy Jason Gentempo, was allegedly caught on camera fleeing the scene with Carla Gentempo into a truck that was left running close by.
Although it was not caught on camera, the victim claims that Jason Gentempo punched him as well before fleeing into the truck.
Both officers were dressed in street clothes and were off duty at the time of the alleged assault.
It has also been alleged that Jason Gentempo stomped on the victim’s cellular phone before leaving the scene.
Both off-duty officers have been arrested and are currently facing charges of third-degree assault of an at-risk adult.
