Colorado's Original Jolly Rancher Candies

The world-famous Jolly Rancher candy dates back to the 'Jolly Rancher Ice Cream Store' in Golden, Colorado. In 1949, Dorothy and Bill Harmsen sold ice cream, boxes of chocolate, and a new candy called Fire Stix (a hot cinnamon taffy). According to GoldenHistory.org, the couple soon repurposed their family barn for candy creation, renaming their property Sugar Bar Ranch. Jolly Rancher candy was made in Colorado until 2002. It's now manufactured in Canada.
