Berthoud Man Wins Whopping $3 million+ on Lottery Scratch Ticket

The Colorado Lottery reports that in 2024, a man who lives in Berthoud bought a $50 "Set for Life" ticket in Longmont, east of the interstate on Highway 66. and won over $3.6 million. As it turns out, that is the only winning ticket that store has sold, so far.

Alamosa Walmart Worker Won $1,000,000 on a Scratch Ticket

In February of 2026, a man working at Walmart at the Walmart in Alamosa spent $20 on a "200X" ticket, and won big time: $1 million. Again, like the convenience store in Longmont, that winner is the only winning ticket that particular Walmart has ever sold; a weird coincidence.

I've put together a list of the top 10 locations that have sold the most winning Colorado Lottery scratch tickets in Northern Colorado (Longmont excluded for this list.) To be on the Lottery's "winner" list, the location had to have had sold a ticket that won at least $1,000.

It looks Coral Bay Wine & Spirits, in Johnstown, just barely made the 'wining locations" list, by selling one $1,000 ticket since first opening in 2017.
