With the government shutdown keeping people from being paid, and uncertainty with Coloradans receiving SNAP benefits, food banks across the state, like the country are stepping things up to help. Weld Food Bank out of Greeley, is looking for community members to volunteer in helping their fellow community members who may be in need.

Weld Food Bank Makes Adjustments to Help Community

In late 2025, the Weld Food Bank made temporary adjustments to their programs, expanding services to help the upwards of 40,000 people in Weld Country who were or could be facing food insecurity. The changes would help to keep long lines from getting longer at their warehouse; to shorten those lines, more volunteers would be neccessary.
