Von Miller Open About Wanting to Come Back to Broncos
I don't know about you, but I'm rooting for a full circle moment with the Denver Broncos this upcoming 2026 season.
Obviously this is a totally different team than the last time the Broncos won the Super Bowl in the 2015 season, but now that we're relevant come playoff time again in Colorado, it only seems right to bring back one of the two biggest pieces of that last championship team.
Denver traded away LB Von Miller in the middle of the 2021 season, when Denver had NOTHING going on. Miller went on to win a Super Bowl with the LA Rams, before moving on to the Buffalo Bills, and most recently the Washington Commanders.
Each time he's gone somewhere - in fact almost every time he's interviewed - he has nothing but love for Broncos Country and emphatically states his desire to come "home" to the Broncos. Is it possible that may happen this year?
He reached out to GM George Paton last year to try and make it happen, but there just wasn't room on the roster for his position, especially at his "advanced" age in the NFL. But Miller knows that, and is willing to come home anyway.

His desire is to serve as a mentor for the younger guys and provide a spark to the team that was one win away from reaching the Super Bowl this past season.
Von joined Rich Eisen from the NFL Network this week and said, "“If something were to happen and I’m not a Washington Commander, then I would love to go to the Denver Broncos. I didn’t get that chance to have closure. I didn’t get to walk into the stadium and be like, ‘OK, this is my last game’ or ‘I’m gonna do this with the fans.’ I didn’t get that closure. So, I would love to have closure with the Denver Broncos. And if, hey, the Commanders don’t want me, the Denver Broncos don’t want me, there’s a team out there that’s gonna pick me up that would love to have my tricks on their roster. I just play it by ear. This is my second time around doing it. I kind of know what to expect. Just got to make the best out of whatever decision I get.”
Here's hoping the Broncos give him the moment he wants. I think it would be a blast to have him back in Denver for one more ride, then to go out the way John Elway and Peyton Manning did - as Super Bowl Champs with the Broncos.
