For those who have tried to follow the case since Dec. 26, 1996 (when JonBenét's body was found), it seems almost futile that authorities will find who killed JonBenét.

In December of 2023, a special cold case team was assigned to the case, and in early 2024, that team released (what seems to be ) new information; two pieces of that information seem startling, nearly 30 years after JonBenét's death.

What New Information Do They Have About JonBenét Ramsey's Death?

According to RadarOnline, her father, John Bennett Ramsey, and his son, John Andrew Ramsey, were on Australia's "60 Minutes" special where new findings in the case were discussed.

  • A  stun gun may well have been used. They have discovered small markings that were on JonBenét's back and neck that indicated the use of a stun gun. After all these years, it's startling that they've just now discovered the markings.
  • A similar case to JonBenét's happened in Boulder less than a year later.  Nine month later, a young girl was sexually assaulted by an intruder her family's home. That intruder jumped off a second-story patio and was never caught. JonBenét and this other girl knew each other.

The special goes into how they believe the Boulder Police Department "bungled" that second case, as well.

According to RadarOnline, in the Australian special, John Ramsey believes that in that second case, the intruder got into the home and waited for the family to arrive; he also believes that's what happened in the case of his daughter.

As the cold case investigation continues. hopefully it will actually lead to JonBenét's killer.
