
Denver is One of Only 8 Stops for the Freedom Plane Tour – What Is It?
During the summer of 2026 Coloradans will be will be lucky, as Denver is one of only eight stops on a rare tour of America's founding documents. This will be a free ticket event, as it should, because it's about Freedom.
Where Will the Freedom Plane Be in Denver?
The Freedom Plane will make its fifth out of eight scheduled stops across America at the History Colorado Center, off of Broadway and 12th Avenue. The center opened in 2012, replacing what was the Colorado History Museum.
What Documents are Being Transported Around by the Freedom Plane?
To celebrate America's 250th birthday in 2026, the National Archives and the National Archives Foundation launched: Freedom Plane National Tour: The Documents That Forged a Nation. This is the first time that the documents have traveled anywhere, together.

- Articles of Association (1774.)
- Oath's of Allegiance (1778.)
- Treaty of Paris (1783.)
- David Brearley's Secret Painting of the Constitution (1787.)
- States Delegation Votes Approving the Constitution (1787.)
- Senate Markup of the Bill of Rights (1789.)
This is the 3rd Trip of This Kind Since Post-WWII
From 1947-1949, people were able to see the Declaration of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights, via the Freedom Train. It stopped in all 48 contiguous states enabling over three million people to view those documents.

From 1975-1976, ror the Country's Bicentennial, the Freedom Train went out again with items including the Louisiana Purchase Treaty.
When is the Denver Stop for the Freedom Plane?
The Freedom Plane and the seven documents will be in Denver, at History Colorado Center, from May 28 through June 14, 2026.
