Parker McCollum Postpones Shows Due to Birth of Baby No. 2

Parker McCollum took two shows off his calendar this weekend for a sweet reason: His second baby boy is on the way.

The singer shared the news in an Instagram Stories post on Wednesday night (July 29), saying that he and his wife Hallie Ray Light are expecting their baby to be born on Thursday (July 30).

"My beautiful wife is blessing our family with our second baby and it's looking like he'll be here tomorrow!" McCollum wrote. "I couldn't be more excited to become a dad for the second time."

On Wednesday night, McCollum was performing at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado. His social media post shared that he'd be going straight home after that concert to be by his wife's side as she gives birth.

From the stage, McCollum was visibly overjoyed about becoming a dad of two.

"I'm having my second baby tomorrow," he proudly told the crowd. "But God is good, and as long as that baby gets here healthy, I'll never ask him for anything again."

He also dedicated his song "Hell of a Year" to his wife that night.

The impending birth of McCollum's second child means that he'll take the weekend off from performing. "Hate having to make that call, but family comes first," he wrote on Instagram Stories.

The affected shows are his July 31 tour stop in Kansas City, Mo., and his Aug. 1 tour stop in Omaha, Neb. The Omaha date is rescheduled for Sept. 10, and the Kansas City date is rescheduled for Sept. 12. Tickets purchased for the original shows will be honored on the new dates.

"Thanks for understanding and for all the love," the singer concluded. "Can't wait to see y'all soon."

McCollum and his wife announced her second pregnancy in a Christmas Day social media post in 2025.
They also shared that baby No. 2 will be a boy.
The couple are already parents to son Major Yancey, who was born in August 2024.

McCollum and his wife married in March 2022. The couple had a long, sometimes on-and-off relationship before tying the knot, and Hallie Ray Light is the subject of several of McCollum's songs (including one that is named after her.)
