Over the weekend, we had a party in the backyard of my wife Jenny's parents. We knew we would be making hamburgers and hot dogs. Jenny likes her hot dogs well-done, so she was looking for a different way to prepare them.

She came across a video of someone making spiral-cut hot dogs. Not only do they spread out the cooking of the dog, the spiral-cut wiener looks like a meaty Slinky and it allows you to fill up the crevices with ketchup, mustard, and relish etc.

In this YouTube video, Jenny shows us just how easy it is to make your own spiral-cut hot dogs. You will need hot dogs, a skewer (we used a wooden one), a knife, and a grill.
