It Looks Like More Snow is on the Way for Colorado Next Week
Mother Nature appears to have woken up when it comes to snow in Colorado. You might have gotten a workout from the last measurable snowfall while shoveling, but I wouldn't suggest putting away your snow shovel just yet.
The College of DuPage NEXLAB Forecast model predicted the massive snowstorm in March of 2021 and it was pretty close to being right on the money when it came to snowfall totals.
The College of DuPage is forecasting another round of measurable snow starting on Tuesday, Feb 1 with snowfall throughout Wednesday into early Thursday morning. The most recent GFS model is showing that parts of Larimer County bordering Weld County could see a total of 16 inches. Further east into Weld County, it is possible to see eight to nine inches of snowfall.
Looking even further ahead into February, we may see more snow all the way up through Saturday, Feb 12.
The extended forecast through Feb. 12 could bring up to 14 inches of total combined snowfall to parts of Northern Colorado. However, we all know how Colorado weather can be... Unpredictable.
I would still say give yourself plenty of time to commute to work on Wednesday as you never know what the weather will bring. Especially when it comes to winter weather conditions.
