Inmate Assaults Larimer County Jail Deputy Thursday Night

On Thursday, November 1 around 12:45 p.m., inmate Brooque Nichols at the Larimer County Jail assaulted a deputy.

Nichols apparently "exited her cell and tried to hit a deputy in the face with a closed fist" (Larimer County Sheriff's Office). The deputy was able to restrain Nichols as she attempted to kick and punch the deputy, but the deputy eventually regained control and was able to put Nichols in a restraint chair.

Nichols has not yet been convicted, but was booked on several "Failure to Appear" charges, as well as attempted assault.
