IKEA Issues Recall on One of Their Product Due to Safety Hazard
If you recently made a trip to the IKEA in Denver, you may have purchased a product that was recalled today (Tuesday, May 12) due to safety concerns. Popular IKEA products for parents with young children are the Patrull Klamma and Patrull Smidig Safety Gates. Both are being recalled by IKEA for insufficient force, to hold the pressure mounted gates. This issue can result in hazardous falls due to the gate being unable to hold its intended position. Also, adding to the falling hazard, the lower metal bar that is a part of the frame is considered a tripping treat.
IKEA is offering refunds for the product, and information can be obtained by calling 888-966-4532. You can also go to their website, www.ikea-usa.com and click on the recall link at the bottom of the page.
