Supermoon in Colorado: When It Is Happening
We will have a full moon in Colorado this week. This full moon will be a supermoon. This moon will reportedly be larger and more bright than any other supermoon we have had this year.

The supermoon is known as Hunter's Moon, and experts say that this moon is a signal that hunting season is advancing.
The moon will be the largest and brightest on October 17, but it will still be noticeable through Friday morning.
Hunter's Moon and Supermoon Significance
The Hunter's Moon is also known as the Blood Moon and Falling Leaves Moon. According to Live Science, the Hunter's Moon got its name due to being a sign for hunters to prepare for winter.
Live Science also notes that we will have one more supermoon this year coming up in November.
Best Time to View in Colorado
The best time to see the biggest and brightest supermoon of the year is during moonrise on October 17. That will be at 6:22 p.m.
So make sure to grab friends and family and go take a look. This supermoon will be extremely easy to spot with the naked eye.
