I could only imagine what it would feel like to submit a claim on a vehicle that was stolen. Speaking of stolen vehicles, Colorado had dropped out of the top rankings in 2024, with a documented 24,575 vehicles stolen in the state, according to CBS Denver.

With auto theft rates as high as they are, you might wonder how often a vehicle is stolen in Colorado. In 2024, the average amount of time between each vehicle stolen was approximately 21.3 minutes.

While 24,000 vehicles were stolen in Colorado in 2024, there has still been a drastic drop in auto thefts in the state. There were 8,400 fewer thefts reported in 2023, and this is the second year in a row that auto thefts in the state have declined.

We can certainly hope that the auto theft rates continue to drop for Colorado in 2025. Let's face it, no one ever wants to have their car stolen, because it seems like it would be such a huge hassle.
