Colorado’s Number One Issue According to Survey—Do You Agree?
Living in Colorado comes with its frustrations. No matter where you call home, there will always be issues to solve and fix. To be frank, we live in an imperfect world, and there will always be things to improve to make Colorado the best state possible.
I could go on and on about all of the things that I love about Colorado. I am incredibly proud to call Northern Colorado home. Let me take off my rose-colored glasses and take a look at what bugs Coloradans the most and what we would like to see improved.
This Is the Biggest Issue in Colorado Right Now
Axios compiled new data that asked residents what they think the biggest issues are in Colorado. Crime, employment, homelessness, and mental health were listed in the top ten.
Housing costs were named the biggest concern for Coloradans.
An astounding 89% of residents say that they are concerned about housing costs.

Whether you own a home or are a renter you know that living in Colorado comes with a big price tag. Our cost of living is currently 20% higher than the rest of the country. Glenwood Springs, Denver, and Colorado Springs have the highest cost of living in Colorado.
The cost of living per year in Colorado is $53,374 per resident this year. We do have to remember that this is an average across the entire state. We all know that some cities and towns are more expensive than others.
