Between letters, hanging out in malls, and getting the reindeer ready for a big night of travel, it's sometimes difficult for Santa to answer every single Christmas letter.

If your kids, or maybe you, want a letter from Santa, you will have to send him one, and the deadline to get the letter into the hands of Santa's helpers is quickly approaching.

The United States Postal Service has people standing by at its Anchorage office, ready to return letters to kids with a "NORTH POLE" postmark.

Have your child write Santa a letter. Put it in an envelope addressed,
"SANTA CLAUS, THE NORTH POLE."

Later, open the letter and write a response from Santa. The United States Postal Service suggests writing it on the back of your child's letter so they can see the original with the reply.

Put the notes in an envelope addressed to your child with "SANTA CLAUS, THE NORTH POLE" as the return address.

Add proper postage, put inside a larger envelope, also with necessary postage.

Get it all sent BEFORE DEC. 15th to:
