Have You Gotten a Robocall About a Free Cruise? You Could Get $900
If you have ever gotten a robocall, you know how annoying they can be.... "Hello, and congratulations! You have just won a free cruise blah blah blah blah blah". You hang up and a day or two later, you get another one. They are the worst type of calls to get. Well, if you have ever gotten one of these calls about a free cruise, you might be able to get $900 from a class action lawsuit.
The lawsuit is claiming that Resort Marketing Group who is a third party travel agency was making the robocalls between July of 2009 through March of 2014. The travel agency was offering free cruises through Carnival, Royal Caribbean and Norwegian.
Per the Telephone Consumer Protection Act, the agency violated the law.
There has been a settlement that has been agreed upon and there is a fund between $7 million to $12.5 million dollars.
If you have received a call from this travel agency, you can get $300 per call, up to 3 calls. If you would like to see if your number is on the list, you can check that HERE.
