Soon, Northern Colorado will have another option when it comes to restaurants, and this one is filled with smoky goodness as a new barbecue restaurant is expected to open in Timnath.

This barbecue restaurant is no stranger to Colorado, as it can be found at some of the best venues in the state, such as Coors Field, Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, Folson Field, and the CU Event Center in Boulder, Colorado.

G-Que BBQ Already Known Across Colorado

This barbecue joint also has standalone locations in Westminster, Lakewood, Thornton, and Lone Tree. In 2026, Northern Colorado will also have a G-Cue Barbeque, according to the Reporter-Herald.

Timnath Location Will Feature Full Bar and Ice Cream Shop

The Timnath location for G-Cue Barbecue will have a full bar in what has been touted as the best happy hour in Colorado, with $1 beers. The Timnath location will also feature an ice cream shop with dairy from Royal Crest Dairy in Longmont.

The barbecue chain that has been operating since 2006 purchased a 1.2-acre lot in the Ladera area of Timnath that is located off Interstate 25 and Harmony Road. G-Cue's menu features staples that you would expect to find at any barbecue restaurant, including pork, brisket, turkey, pork spare ribs, chicken wings, and jalapeno cheddar sausage.

That's only the meats section of the menu at G-Cue. Sides also include mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, pit-smoked beans, apple coleslaw, green beans, fries, cheese fries, homemade kettle chips, onion rings, and salads.

Expected Opening Date for Timnath Location

Northern Colorado barbecue fans can expect to see G-Cue Barbeque open its first location in our neck of the woods in early 2026. Only a few months from now, we will be able to easily access this tasty and smoky food.
