Gas Prices Have Once Again Spiked in Colorado And At This Point We’re Barely Hanging On
Gas prices have once again spiked in Colorado, rising by seven cents in just one week. This is insanity. Everything is more expensive, and morale has tanked with Colorado residents.
Seven cents may not sound like much, but when you factor in food costs, childcare costs, and basic bills like water and electricity, it can get incredibly overwhelming. Some Colorado residents have even left the state due to the rising costs.
Here are just a few of the necessities that have spiked in the past year
- Housing is a big one. Probably the biggest. If you're renting, forget about it. Want to buy a house outright? In the past few decades, it has become almost impossible for the majority of people. It's sad that our children won't have the same opportunities that we had.
- Utility costs are rising, and experts say the trend will continue higher and higher. Higher than Willie Nelson, even. That's really high. If you've ever gotten an electric bill for hundreds, you know the pain.
- Gas prices have gone up 24% due to the global conflict. That means people are fighting, and we are paying the price. The ordinary citizen continues to bear the brunt of the increases. Not to sound ancient, but at one time, I could fill my car up with gas for only twenty bucks. Sigh.
- Medical care. Some people just have to roll the dice on their health because of the insane cost of treatment and medicine. Meaning people are dying due to the price increases.
Pray for some sort of decline in literally ANYTHING because we, the citizens, are barely hanging on.
