Fort Collins Mount Rushmore – Four Local Celebrities Who Would Be Featured
During a recent discussion here in the office, we got on the topic of the most notable "celebrities" throughout the history of Fort Collins and who would be in the top four.
Think about it, we have Horsetooth Mountain within visual distance of any vantage point in the city. Which means you could etch stone on the east facing slope of the mountain and put these possible local celebrities on there.
Below are the four possibilities that we think would represent Fort Collins well on our very own Mount Rushmore. Who would you add or take off the mountain?

Jon Heder
Jon Heder may have gotten his start in Hollywood in 2004 with "Napoleon Dynamite", but he actually got his start to life in Fort Collins. Since many of the films and television shows that he has been part of have had success, doesn't he deserve to be on our Mount Rushmore?

Sonny Lubick
When you think of Colorado State University football, you instantly think of Sonny Lubick. When you think of a great piece of steak you can get in old town, you also think of Sonny Lubick. He deserves to have this face on the Fort Collins Mount Rushmore.

Temple Grandin
She not only has had an impact at Colorado State University, Temple Grandin has also had an impact internationally as well. Plus she was named one of TIME Magazine's Most Influential People in the World in 2010, which means she deserves to be part of the Fort Collins Mount Rushmore.

Jorts Guy (Adam) from Pour Brothers
Listen...when you think of getting a drink in old town Fort Collins on a Friday night (or any night for that matter)...you always wonder if "Jorts Guy" is working that night. And since I feel like he shows the fun side of the city, he has to be included on our Mount Rushmore. We also have to figure out how to get the jorts up on the mountain as well.
