
Fort Collins Balloon Boy Made National News Five Years Ago – What Is He Doing Now?

Fort Collins Balloon Boy took America by storm 5-years-ago. October 15th, 2009 Richard and Mayumi Heene reported their 6-year-old son Falcom had floated away in a weather balloon. It later turned out to be a hoax.
Richard Heene pleaded guilty on November 13, 2009, to the charge of attempting to influence a public servant. On December 23, 2009, Richard Heene was sentenced to 90 days in jail and Mayumi Heene to 20 days of weekend jail;Richard was also ordered to pay $36,000 in restitution.
According to the Fort Collins Coloradoan, The family has since moved to Florida and created a family act called the Heene Boyz. They call themselves the World's youngest metal band. 11-year-old Balloon Boy Falcon is the lead vocalist.
Dad Richard Heene has become an inventor. He is responsible for the "Bear Scratch. It's a back scratcher that attaches to the wall allowing one to scratch their back like a bear. It retails for $19.99.
