Missing Northern Colorado Family Found Safe
The family that went missing while camping in Northern Colorado this weekend has been found safe.
According to a news release, the Boulder County Sheriff's Office the Hoyt family of 5 went missing in the Indian Peaks Wilderness Area west of Longmont. They hadn't been seen since Friday at a campsite above the Camp Dick Campground west of Highway 7 between Ward and Raymond.
Scott and Sabrina Hoyt, along with their 3 children, were found in Nederland after their Ford F150 was spotted heading into Longmont. They say they were late getting home because they ran out of gas and money - therefore, they had difficulty returning. They were unaware of the search because their cell phone batteries had died.
All children are safe and headed back to their home in Weld County.
