To say Jackson Hole is suffering from snow right now would be an understatement.

The snow has wreaked so much havoc on the area that it looks like a post-apocalyptic winter nightmare in the above video by Vimeo user Lance Koudele. Current estimates say about 17 utility poles have been knocked down. The town is effectively closed for business.

Powder magazine says the earliest Jackson Hole Resort will open is Monday, Feb. 13. The town is cautioning people against driving uphill.

The most recent update from the Jackson Hole News & Guide notes that cellphone service is out for most of the Teton Village Area. Five different agencies are sending people and equipment to help with the power line issues.

Earlier, we saw snow reaching near the top of a stop sign in the Wind River Area on a live cam.
