After the close football game this past weekend— CSU Rams finishing up at 21 with Vanderbilt taking the game with 24 on September 11 — Rams head coach Steve Addazio is definitely the name on everyone's lips.

Will the Rams pick it back up? Will the team find their stride? When is our best shot at a win? Yeah, I actually don't want to talk about any of that. I want to talk about how Addazio is a Vine star.

Let's go back to the beginning first.

OK, I will at least provide some background: Addazio has a long, productive history with college football thanks to his coaching career, which has spanned over the course of 10 years, according to the CSU Rams staff directory. Addazio worked with Temple and Boston College,

"...where he became the first coach in BC history to lead the program to six bowls in the first seven seasons as a head coach, and the first bowl winning head coach at Temple in over 30 years in his first season as head coach." (Source)

Wow.

The Famous Vine

While Addazio was coaching for Boston College, he (or his team) posted a video to Vine before the platform died a horrific death. It was four seconds long and was only his sixth post on the platform, according to The Tab, who has an entire tribute article for this specific video.

Watch it for yourself here:

So many things about this video are now beloved, and are big reasons why it continues to be shared to this day: the power stance, the khaki shorts, and the simple, now-famous phrase:

What's better than this? Guys being dudes.

The guys on our Colorado State University football team will continue to be dudes as they prepare to play the Toledo Rockets on September 18. And by the way— Steve? Thanks for keeping Colorado cool. When it comes to football...what's better than this?
