Home prices in the Denver Metro Area have reached a new high according to the market trends report from the Denver Metro Association of Realtors. The average price for a detached single-family home is currently $674,900. The April report shows that prices have increased 6.72 percent from the prior month and a total of 19.3 percent from last year. A total of 3,272 detached single-family homes were closed in the month of March with an average of 15 days on the MLS.

The report covers market transactions for the month of March in 11 counties that make up the Denver Metro Area. Adams, Arapahoe, Boulder, Broomfield, Denver, Douglas, Clear Creek, Elbert, Gilpin, Jefferson, and Park Counties.

A total of 4.889 detached and attached residential homes closed in the month of March. Active listings for both categories of homes at month-end were 1,921. For both categories of homes, an average for days on the MLS was 19.

The attached home prices were lower than detached single-family home prices. The average price for an attached home price was $416,775. An increase of 4.41 percent from the prior month and 8.17 percent from last year. A total of 1,617 attached homes closed in the month of March with an average of 26 days on the MLS.
