Seriously? Colorado Motel Is For Sale for $10 Dollars
Could you imagine yourself as a motel owner? There are plenty of motels around Colorado that are locally owned.
We imagine that there is a ton of work that goes into owning a motel or a hotel. An episode of the HBO Series White Lotus made me realize that hospitality ownership was not for me.
However, you can buy a motel in Colorado right now for less than your monthly Netflix subscription. However, there are a few details that may derail interest in purchasing the hotel.
About the Buy: Colorado Motel Edition
The Daily Mail reports that the Stay Inn Motel, a 96-room motel, in Denver, is for sale for yes— $10. The price is amazing. There is one major thing to consider before you look into purchasing the property.

First of all, there are a ton of renovations and repairs the owner will need to make on their own dime. Also, the city of Denver purchased the motel in 2023 for $9 million.
More Requirements for Denver Hotel
The City of Denver is requiring the buyer to transform the former hotel into housing for the homeless. Additionally, the buyer must commit that the property remains low-income housing for the next 99 years.

Now, of course, most buyers will not live to see 99 more years. We are not sure of the future planning you would need to make, but this sounds like you would need to make a lifetime commitment.
Homelessness in Denver
According to the Metro Denver Homeless Initiative, homelessness continues to be a growing problem in the city of Denver.
There are nearly 10,000 homeless individuals within city limits and the numbers continue to rise.
