Denver Dog Bite Cases Triple During COVID-19

You might love being home with your dog all day, but what if your dog doesn't like it? It seems as if more dogs are becoming agitated with their owners during the stay-at-home order implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to KDVR, dog bites have tripled in the city and county of Denver during the stay-at-home order. Denver Animal Protection stated that they registered 141 bite cases in March 2020, while only 47 bites were reported in March of 2019.

But perhaps our pets are beginning to get used to our increased presence at home, as a decline in bites this month shows only 10 bites have been reported in April of 2020. Meanwhile, reports for April 2019 totaled 21.
