Dear NFL, I Have an Idea for Your Halftime Show, Love Brian – Brian’s Blog [VIDEO]

Every year after the Super Bowl there is endless talk about the game itself, the commercials and of course, the halftime show. We will hear talk about key plays in the game and what commercials made us laugh or shake our heads. The halftime show seems to get mixed reviews every year. There have been some that I enjoyed, some I thought were awful and some were okay. The one conclusion I make every year though is that they are completely unnecessary.

You have the biggest sports spectacle in the world. We don't need a huge halftime show. We are celebrating football not pop music. I would much rather watch the national Punt Pass and Kick competition at halftime and see kids playing ball.

You will never make everyone happy but I think more people would be happy with a marching band at halftime. I would much rather watch the West Virginia marching band do a tribute to our military then watch Beyonce and her crew make whatever statement they were trying to make. It is time to celebrate an American game so let's celebrate what makes America great...our youth and our men and women in uniform. What do you think?
