It's nice to find a support system even amongst strangers.

Just the other day I was talking with a friend about pandemic silver linings. We were enjoying finding positive things to come from such a negative time in our lives. One of the things I said I appreciated from the pandemic was the new sense of camaraderie. It's not often that everyone in the world is bonded by something, but this past year and a half is definitely it. We have all experienced something similar and I hope it makes us more compassionate and patient with one another.

Kind of like this new Internet trend, Dear Intern, that has everyone sharing their biggest mistakes.

Let's start from the beginning. Recently, there was a mass email that was sent out by mistake from one of the interns at HBO Max. The subject line read "Integration Test Email #1." According to USA Today, the body of the email had just one sentence that read "This template is used by integration tests only."

The email was intended for internal use, but it was sent to a large batch of HBO Max's customers. Although some users were concerned, others found it funny and joked about it on social media. One in particular equated the email to a promotion for a new drama coming to HBO Max.

Soon after, HBO Max sent out a recall on the email and then tweeted about the mistake.

What happened after that has been simply amazing.

Since then, people have been jumping at the opportunity to share their own work mistakes. Heck, we've all had them, so why not make someone else feel better and give them some hope. The moral of each of these tweets is that the person survived and all was OK in the end.

Here are some of my favorite stories...

Again, we all make mistakes. Like my first radio job when I was a teenager and I pronounced the band INXS as "Inks." Oof. But I'm still here.

Feel free to share your story with us... everyone's doing it!
