Cuddly Dog Katy Needs a Loving Home in Northern Colorado

Katy Is Ready to Find Her Northern Colorado Home

Katy is a three-year-old Boxer and American Pit Bull mix that is available for adoption at NOCO Humane. This cuddly lady loves to give kisses and take naps. Katy was very fearful when she first arrived at NOCO Humane, but with all the love and support from their staff, she warmed up extremely quickly.

Katy loves chew toys and would love toys such as a puzzle feeder or a frozen kong. Daily enrichment toys will be extremely beneficial. Katy already knows the commands sit, stay, and lay down.

This playful girl loves to run and chase a ball. She is generally good on a leash and only pulls a little until she settles into her walk. Katy does well with other dogs when given a slow introduction.

Consider This Before Adopting Katy from NOCO Humane

As we mentioned, Katy was very afraid when she first arrived at NOCO Humane. She warmed up quickly due to the love that volunteers and staff members at NOCO Humane gave her.

Katy is barrier-reactive. If there is a door or a kennel in between her and who she wants to be close to she will bark and jump.

Katy also tends to jump when she is excited. NOCO Humane recommends that she live in a home without young children.

Additionally, Katy will need to embark on a fitness journey. She gained a few pounds while loving life at NOCO Humane, she will need to live in a home that does not mind better her back on track.
