I might be biased because I work at K99 in Northern Colorado, but country music is alive and well. I also believe that right now, country music is the most popular it has ever been.
Summer Full of Country Concerts Across Colorado
This summer was jam-packed with great country concerts across the entire state. My favorite shows were at the Greeley Stampede and Red Rocks this past summer. Living in Northern Colorado, it is easy to see that residents here love country music, but is the entire state of Colorado as enthusiastic? You’d think so.

Whiskey Riff Ranks the Top Country Music-Loving States
Whiskey Riff published a list of the top country music-loving states based on Google Trends data. Their list looked at the data, and they figured out which states are the most and least interested in country music.
Colorado Ranks 35th — But That Doesn’t Seem Right
Whiskey Riff says that Colorado is the 35th most enthusiastic state about country music. How in the world can that be true? I work in country radio and see more enthusiasm for country music in Colorado than in many other places that I’ve been. Once again, Colorado is flying under the radar.
Where Country Music Is Most Popular
The list determined that Tennessee, Kentucky, and South Carolina had the most enthusiastic country music fans. Our neighbors in Wyoming ranked seventh.
