Counterfeit Gold Scam Hits Greeley
A post on Facebook from Mister Money Pawn Shop is warning Greeley residents about a fake gold scam that has made its way from Fort Collins to Greeley.
They say to watch out for people who approach you at a gas station or in a parking lot asking for help with their vehicle. They will say they need a few bucks for gas and then offer to sell you a ring or necklace at a massive discount. Problem is, the jewelry is counterfeit.
They say they've been working other areas of Northern Colorado, but recently started in the Greeley area.
