Colorado Patriot Guard Riders to Honor Sgt. Chris Birdwell, 25, U.S. Army

The Colorado Patriot Guard Riders will stand in Honor of  U.S. Army Sgt. Chris Birdwell, 25, of Windsor, Colorado this coming Friday, September 7th. Committal service will be held at approximately 1:45pm at Fort Logan National Cemetery.  This will be a 3-part mission with details to follow.

• Arrival on Wednesday September 5th - Sgt. Birdwell will fly into FT Collins/Loveland Airport, Loveland Colorado. The Patriot Guard Riders of Colorado will escort Sgt. Birdwell and his family from the airport to Marks Funeral Home 9293 Eastman Park Dr. Windsor, CO 80550.

• Memorial On Thursday September 6th - The United States Army has requested an escort from their home in Windsor, Colorado to Fort Carson, Colorado Springs, Colorado to arrive at Gate # 3 by 1130 and proceed to Soldiers Memorial Chapel for a unit memorial at 12:00pm. We will have a LEO escort the entire route to Fort Carson.

• Burial On Friday, September 7th - The United States Army has requested an escort for the family from their home in Windsor, Colorado to Marks Funeral Home to arrive by 0945, 9293 Eastman Park Dr. Windsor, CO 80550 for Sgt Birdwell's funeral service. Once the service is completed the PGR will then escort Sgt. Birdwell and the family from Windsor Colorado to FT Logan National Cemetery for interment at Area shelter "A" at 2:00pm.  (Stage: 1:15pm Fort Logan National Cemetery Visitors Center Riders Brief: 1:30pm Flag Line: 1:45pm)
