Colorado Shopping Crisis: Why So Many Closures Are Happening
Do you prefer to shop in the store or online in Colorado? We all know that online shopping has risen, and will continue to do so, exponentially for the past 15 years.
Online shopping is convenient, but is it better?
I utilize both online shopping and the in-person experience. Whenever I shop locally it is either to support a local business in Colorado or the hardware store.
The are so many great local businesses that offer unique experiences that you can not have on Amazon, Etsy, or other online stores.
So here is our question: why do Coloradans prefer to shop online?
Colorado Ranks Top For Online Shopping
Colorado was ranked the top state in the nation for online shopping. That means that Colorado prefers online shopping more than any other state in the nation.
QRFY crunched the data and discovered that 84.8% of Colorado's population does the majority of shopping online.
Coloradans prefer to shop online compared to the rest of the nation. 74.1% of Americans prefer online shopping.
Why Colorado? This Is Confusing
I might be biased, but there are so many great local and small businesses in Colorado. I live in Fort Collins and I have to say, there are way better products to buy in-store than online.
Last Christmas, I did all of my holiday shopping in Old Town. I found so many great and unique gifts. In the process, I was able to support Northern Coloradans and find higher quality goods for less of a price.
Online Shopping in Colorado
When it comes down to it, we all enjoy convenience. That is what online shopping is all about. I will say that although I prefer to shop in person, I still shop online. I will not try to act like a martyr.
I buy odds and ends on Amazon. I also use the pick-up option when I buy groceries from King Soopers or Walmart.
