Colorado Man Dies in Dominican Republic

Another American has died after becoming ill in the Dominican Republic. The latest is a Colorado man named Khalid Adkins from Denver. Adkins was in the Dominican Republic vacationing with his daughter last week when he suddenly became sick.

According to his sister in-law, Adkins attempted to fly back on Sunday, but he was sweating and vomiting on the plane. He was then transferred to Santo Domingo with kidney failure and breathing issues. Adkins family has set up a GoFundMe account to help with the expenses bringing him home.  Adkins is one of the numerous Americans that have died in the Dominican Republic this year.
